'Mindhunter' is an American psychological crime thriller series created by Joe Penhall, based on the true-crime book 'Mindhunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit' by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker. Set in the late 1970s and early 1980s, the show follows FBI agents Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and Bill Tench (Holt McCallany), along with psychologist Wendy Carr (Anna Torv), as they pioneer the development of criminal profiling by interviewing incarcerated serial killers to understand their psychology.
