"Upgrade" is a 2018 science fiction action film directed by Leigh Whannell. The story follows Grey Trace, a man who becomes paralyzed after a brutal mugging that also kills his wife. He is offered a chance to regain mobility through an experimental computer chip implant called STEM. As Grey adapts to his new abilities, he seeks revenge on those responsible for his wife's death, leading to unexpected consequences.
